Snapshot of Atlanta Georgia In 2013, the estimated number of new HIV diagnoses is 1,410 people in Atlanta, Georgia. That same year, approximately 30.7% of HIV diagnoses developed into AIDS within 12 months; an alarming rate that could have been prevented with sufficient awareness, proper education and much-needed health care. At HYPE, we refuse to turn a blind eye and see statistics as just numbers. We need to help our brothers and sisters living with HIV today.
The financial goal and end results of the year: Raise $50,000 for the H.Y.P.E. 2017 year, enabling H.Y.P.E. to Empower, Inc. to transform the lives of youth, young adults, families, and communities living with HIV. Through our comprehensive and relevant services at H.Y.P.E., your personal contribution will allow us to reach 300 individuals and families this year, and impacting almost 1,000 lives.
We aim to cater to everyone in the community who needs attention and assistance regarding HIV, however, our main focus will be the age range mentioned above.
Our Ask Our programs at H.Y.P.E. will materialize today. With your help, we can ensure sustainability and long-term benefits. Your donations will make this possible. Please encourage your peers to assist us in raising funds in our efforts.
